Well, the day finally came, this morning, came in at 8:00am and everything ready to go! all our junk was boxed up, so sat and had me marmite on toast, cuppa tea and read me book, until the others slowly drifted in...By 12:00 we were set up, network conections established, internet, msn working fine...so decided to goto our new local for a pint and a pizza...very nice it was too...

Looking out at the fantastic view here, Docklands over in the east, Tower 42 a little nearer, great! see the clouds drift in too so can be well prepared for da rain..

Start E. By Matt Beaumont last night, all about an ad agency, told thru emails, very good so far...and has given me an idea to include some from this place, just as bitchy, just as unintentionally funny...but mebbe a bit out-of-order? dunno, we'll see..

So..quiet sorta day yesterday, coupla meetings heading down the tense and frustrating path for a few moments but blew over soon enough...got myself out of there at 4:30pm, home by 5:45. Missus out last night, so treated myself to Relocation Relocation instead of Holby City; this couple fancied a country house (outside Birmingham) plus a town house (inside) for the price of selling their old house in Bradford! Mortgaging themselves up to the hilt, obviously filmed last year, probably both properties now back on the market as the silly sods realise they've over extended themselves...Then some Opratunity rubbish came on, so i went for a read...sigh...

Tuesday Morning hangover blues

...and it carried on in the boozah last night too, until, finally, everyone agreed that my choice's were the best!..5 pints and the 9:40 slow train home to watch Corrie and Tricky Dicky confess to Wailing Gail that he' the Streets serial killer! High drama!...
Now, back to the high drama closer to home...Meeting yesterday outlining the work we'll need to do to persuade our biggest client to give us more money...fingers crossed they'll like what we tell them and ask us to go ahead, seems the chat the MD had the other day re: "Commercials" wasnae about TV Adverts after all!...it was about additional work we could do for them...who coulda guessed eh?..

In at 8:00am, toast and cuppa bit of Tezza Wogan, comfort zone..

70's - hmmm remember stuff from Slade, Sweet. Mud, yeah, tiger feet...dats right, dats right, dats right, i really love yer tiger feet!..er.. Gazza Glitter of course..oh..wait! I know one, "When you are a king" by White Plains, great tune about a fathers love for his son...love it

80's - Easy, Dead or Alive, You spin me round..baby!...what?...it's a classic!

90's - Depeche Mode, Halo, something like that, dunno, VNV Nation maybe..

Hmm, he's right about the Houndsditch Benjy's staff. Their food may be limited, but there's a wealth of eye candy on display. On a different note, 6music are doing a feature on the Gideon Coe show where you send in your fave songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and, er, 00s. Here's my selection. Let's hope they get played:

60s - Whiter Shade of Pale, Procul Harum. I love it, that organ bit is fantastic. And they use it on Withnail and I, to great effect. Yes, it's a corker.

70s - Come up and See Me Make Me Smile - Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel A grim decade, made lighter by this groovy masterpiece.


80s - She Bangs the Drum - Stone Roses. Ah - the summer of 1989! Kiss me where the sun don't shine, the past was yours but the future's mine. Indeed.

90s - Slide Away - Oasis. Yes - I know, Oasis. But it's off Definitely Maybe, so it's excusable. Right?

Can lunchtimes get anymore interesting?

Went for a wander at lunchtime, down to spitafields, or what's left of it, then to Benjy's on Hounsditch, nice young ladies work behind the food counter, much nicer than in Leadenhall Street anyway...ummm mebbe we could set up a league table?...it's an idea ;)

Friday morning and the MD has gone to discuss "commercials" with our largest client, seems an odd thing to do and do considering the situation we're in, a bit trivial almost, but for what it's worth I've mailed him my top ten, might help, I dunno...as follows:

Guinness:We have all the time in the world...fantastic graphics and great tune, followed closely by the Rutger Hauer ones, they were odd weren't they?

Smash: Loved those Martins as a kid

Electric Central Heating: Yeah, those Creature comfort ones

Hoffmeister: Follow the bear, hahah...and they all get slightly pished on weak beer n'all..swagger..

R-Whites: Secret Lemonade Drinker - yeah, the 70's man, expensive pop, better than the Alpine stuff, 3 day weeks, black-outs, candles, B&W tv..

Shake 'n' Vac: Poor cow, never worked again

Pepsi:Lipsmackinthirstquenchin - haha I really fancy you, I'm terribly shy but I wanna take you out...and she no understandee him...
